Theo's Newborn Sneak Peek
Theo was truly an angel during his big newborn photo session! He was sleepy, so relaxed, and I had a great time getting to incorporate the moon and stars into his photos, along with all the curly sleepy poses. I’m so glad we were able to schedule his session even after an extra hospital stay deterred our first date.
Theo’s parents had requested blues and the moon prop for his session, and I took that and added my other moon themed pillows and baskets to sprinkle in throughout his photos. He was such a great little model as he was very relaxed and asleep, which is always such a treat as I can really adjust fingers and lighting.
I started with the big props first as those require super sleepy babies, and even with a spotter for safety Theo was passed out. He didn’t mind being on his back in the moon basket or in the bucket, and I had fun trading out hats and also capturing photos of his adorable head of hair.
After several family photos with his parents, all the while flashing quick smiles, his mom and dad also got down on the blanket so we could capture pictures of their hands around his tiny feet. I love these types of photos that show how tiny babies are at this age compared to their parent’s hands!
We ended with my beanbag poses and I was able to do two different fabrics as Theo was still sleeping away. At one point I had planned to move on from the blue to the tan, and he rolled over onto his back completely relaxed. I quickly grabbed my new swing prop and I’m so happy we were able to snag that image and I had environed him “swinging among the stars” after editing.
Theo truly was a dream to work with and I wish this family a huge congratulations on him joining the family! Enjoy this little peek into a sleepy session among the moon and stars.
