Benjamin's ONEderful World First Birthday

I was so excited to get to see this family again, this time to celebrate Benjamin’s first birthday! His theme was What a ONEderful World, and I had the perfect background to match along with the adorable outfits his mom brought for Benjamin to wear.

The last time I saw this sweet boy he was just a tiny newborn. Now he’s grown into a super happy, chunky little guy who was just so much fun to photograph during his first birthday session.

He had a blue romper for our first set of nice photos and I brought out some blocks to try and entice Benjamin to sit in one place for a minute or two. Boy was he a fast crawler! I got in a great workout scooting him back onto our set, then eventually we “trapped” him in a basket. His older sister was also a big help at sitting with him for a few pictures and giving him a soft hug.

After family portraits, we swapped out his outfit for a cute grey short set with suspenders and matching newsie hat. I was so impressed that he kept the hat on the entire time! He loved picking off the fruit of his giant cupcake and licking the frosting.

He also just was a happy baby in general and was pleased to just mess around with the cake, give it a try, clean the floor, or later share with his sister. She was a great sport and tried to feed him some icing while he preferred to scrape it off the floor! But in the end she was able to give him a little taste and was truly so sweet to jump in and get a little dirty with her brother.
