Gustafson Family Summer Sneak Peek

This family had a truly gorgeous summer evening for their family photo session! We went to a nearby park for the tall summer grasses and also had a beautiful sunset and sky at the same time. Plus the kids were wonderful and I had a blast getting to know them a little and capturing these special memories with both mom and dad and updating their full family portrait.

We met at a nearby park which connects to some nature spaces for our session as mom wanted those tall summer grasses and a little rustic feel. I love this area in the fall and it didn’t disappoint in the summertime, although the bugs came out as the sun set and we all realized we’d forgotten bug spray! The kids were troopers and powered through the bugs at the end.

This originally had been a Mother’s Day gift from the husband to his wife, and I was so glad they opted for these summer photos over the fall. We had such beautiful weather, no one was cold, and we had the park to ourselves except for a few others walking or cycling that evening.

We captured lots with mom and dad separately, the kids together, and then the kids really got to showcase their personalities with individual portraits. Such sass and spunk - I love it!

It was so hard narrowing down to just these images for their sneak peek and I can’t wait to share the gallery with them soon! What a fun way to spend an evening with such a lovely family!
