Leo & Sarah's Sweet Sibling Session

This sweet family came earlier in the week to celebrate their new baby boy, who is already about a month old, and to capture some memories of the two siblings together. Leo and Sarah were wonderful little models and Sarah especially was filled with great smiles and questions as we took photos.

I originally brought out the new winter background as I thought it would fit for Leo as a winter baby and yet also be great for sibling photos. Sarah had the most perfect denim dress to coordinate and she did a great job holding my snowflakes and pretending some were falling from the sky. I love adding in those magical elements later for a few special photos!

Leo also was a trooper as we swaddled him up in a dark blue wrap. For a while there I thought the swaddle and lull of the white noise would let him drift off to sleep, but he decided to be awake for his first photography debut. But in the process of drifting in and out he gave the sweetest little smiles and also loved finding the light to show off his beautiful eyes.

Yet I think my favorite images are the two siblings together. Sarah snuggled into her brother on the soft blanket and he just seemed mesmerized by her. She was so gentle and soft with him, too. Later she even got close to him in the basket to give little kisses on his cheeks. I can tell she’s a wonderful big sister helper at home and already loves her little brother.
