Roselyn's Newborn Sneak Peek

I have been so excited to meet Miss Roselyn for months! She was then so tiny when she was born we waited until she was about 2 weeks old to give her a chance to grow and gain a little weight. By the time our session arrived I was beyond excited to take her newborn photos and see her family again to celebrate such a sweet little girl.

Roselyn’s mom requested flowers and then shared the nursery colors with me so we could coordinate fabrics and headbands. Since the nursery was white and grey with accents in lavender, teal, and blush pink I incorporated those base colors to match throughout our newborn session.

Mom also brought in the cutest swaddle wrap with little fawns on it along with a few matching headbands. After I saw those I switched several blankets around to focus more on those teal and purple colors and I loved how the theme developed on the spot to be uniquely Roselyn’s. I even had a small felted deer that I purchased a while back for all the woodland animal themes, and Roz was the first to get to use it in her photos.

We ended with family photos to allow for big brother’s nap time that afternoon, and he was so sweet and helpful when he arrived. He did a great job “holding” his sister while laying on the cream blanket, but the best photos were the unexpected pictures where he kissed her little feet while she was swaddled. I’d planned for a completely different photo but that one sure beat any image I had in mind! Such a sweet moment between siblings.

A huge congrats to this family on your precious little Roselyn! I spent a little extra time on your video to include your special song for Roz and now have “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’” playing in my head ever since. I love how the song was picked just for her!

This couple has been part of my photography family for several years now, and I truly count them as friends. It’s an honor to be included for such special moments and to watch the family grow. I can’t wait to share more of Roz’s photos soon!
