Everett's Country Cake Smash

I have had the cutest string of boys in the studio, and I had a blast with Everett and his family celebrating his first birthday. Everett had a rustic, country setting for his nice pictures before his cake smash, then he smashed a picture perfect “pancake cake” and thoroughly enjoyed every messy bite!

Everett’s family wanted to do a buffalo plaid and country feel for their little guys first birthday photos and I love the two settings we used to bring the whole theme to life. We started with some nice photos of Everett with just a wooden background and country props, like my red lantern, classic pick-up truck, and some buffalo plaid accents. Everett loved holding the wooden letters that spelled out ONE and was a perfect fit in the big metal bucket.

After snagging some family photos with all three of them, we switched to my new camping type background that gives a great country feel. I love how the buffalo plaid and tent were a perfect compliment to Everett’s pancake cake, and it almost felt like a lumberjack type theme straight out of a tall tale with Paul Bunyan.

Everett loved his cake and did a fabulous job eating it and smashing it all over the scene. It was a joy to watch him have so much fun, and we were all laughing at the end when he stood up and gave a giant smile.

A big thanks to this family for allowing me to be part of such special photos! I wish Everett a very happy first birthday and hope he gets to enjoy more cake.
