Eva's Princess Gem First Birthday and Cake Smash

Eva was one a little darling for her very special first birthday, and she even came to the studio on her actual celebration day to capture pictures with her family and a cake smash. I love the bright gem colors and the gorgeous geode cake paired with the pink princess carriage. It was a photo session fit for a little princess!

Eva was also a very happy baby the entire time we took photos. She gave lots of smiles and we were able to get great pictures with her sitting and standing. She looked beautiful with the balloon background in her red sequin dress and she loved holding my little star and wooden letters spelling ONE.

Then we switched to a simple yet beautiful setting for Eva’s cake smash, which was the white background with pink carriage and flowers. Eva really was the star, along with her gorgeous pink and gold geode cake! She daintily ate pieces of cake from the backside of the design and hardly made a mess. She also helped me organize the flowers in the carriage and stood with big smiles for a few pictures.

Finally, Eva’s grandmother had brought in a traditional Korean dress and I knew we HAD to capture portraits of that! With a quick change to a pastel floral background, Eva was still all smiles as we took a few pictures in the authentic garment. Did you know first birthday’s are a big deal in the Korean culture? The next big birthday celebration is when you turn 60, which makes me exceptionally glad Eva and her family have these first birthday memories.

A very happy first birthday to you, Eva! I loved spending some time with you and your family and I hope you got to enjoy more of that beautiful cake.
