Elowyn's Newborn Sneak Peek
Sweet little Elowyn came in over the weekend with her family for a special newborn session. She was just a week old and already had great rolls and perfectly round cheeks. We went with classic pinks and I added in a few touches of green and flowers to make it an elegant session for a little girl.
Elowyn’s big sister as also just adorable, yet was only semi interested in taking photos with her sister. I sure snagged some winners, though, especially of her kissing her sister’s head! Her mom had asked me for tips on how to get an 18 month old to sit still, and while I have some I frequently use, the biggest thing is to be a bit trigger happy and just click away. The family photo also just melted my heart as everyone crowded together around their newest addition and big sister really played along for those last photos with her in them.
Elowyn had a brief awake moment right at the end of a bucket prop set up and right as I was transitioning to my cream fur. She was very calm and I grabbed a few in the bucket with her eyes open before wrapping her up and letting her gaze at the light from the fur. Her mom had so wanted a few images with her eyes open, and I’m happy to say Elowyn obliged then took a small feeding and went right back to sleep for me!
A big congratulations to this sweet family on your new baby! I loved meeting you all and can’t wait to show you the rest of your gallery.
