Addison's Newborn Sneak Peek
Addison came in over the weekend for a very special newborn photography session. I had the privilege of photographing her older brother when HE was an infant, and it was so wonderful to see him and the family again, especially now with a new baby girl.
Since this is the first and only girl for this mom, she requested everything pink and feminine. I had fun pulling out all the lace, pinks, and ruffles not to mention all the headbands! We also had used the moon prop last time with her older brother, so I decided to create something very different this time around that would be just for Addison.
The trick was to create a safe place for baby where two older brothers could sit alongside for sibling photos but that wouldn’t topple over if someone bumped it. I always work to create safe spaces for babies but I know how wiggly toddler siblings can be! I absolutely loved what I created and can say the trig bed with flowers was a perfect match of girly, safe, and a great place for siblings to gather around.
I also pulled out my hanging floral background for Addison’s bucket images to keep the flower theme. She was a perfect and snug fit in this particular wire bucket, but I wanted to try a more see-through option so I could tuck in flowers.
Overall it was such a joy to see the family again as they celebrate their newest little one! It’s one of my favorite perks of being a photographer to be part of so many special memories for families.
