Makena's Newborn Sneak Peek
This sweet little girl was the perfect model for all her photos earlier this weekend. Her dad had some great ideas on what he wanted for her newborn pictures, and I hope I delivered his vision on photos with his firefighter gear and showing off her cute cheeks.
Makena’s parents wanted to stay away from the pinks and chose to go with purple and teal colors for her newborn photos. I love this combination of colors, and it was nice to pull them out again for such a precious baby.
Her mom is a nurse and her dad is a firefighter, and we incorporated lots of personal touches for Makena’s session. Dad brought his jacket and hat and I love the backlight photo of him wearing his gear and holding his daughter in his hands. We also did a composite of Makena in his hat as the hat itself wasn’t deep enough for a baby, but sure was decked out in things to help when putting out a fire!
Then there was a special engraved stethoscope of mom’s that I circled over Makena’s head and tucked in her hand. It was just so special to add so many unique images for this family.
The final request was the chin in hands, or froggy, pose. Since this was such an important photo for dad I took this right when we moved to the beanbag instead of waiting at the end. Makena was a champ and we totally captured her chubby cheeks.
A big thank you to this family first for your service to others and then for allowing me to capture memories of your new little one. It was an honor.
