Kenna's First Birthday Sneak Peek
Kenna is now officially one! I can’t believe the little baby I photographed as a newborn is now a while one year old, and she was walking, full of smiles, and was truly adorable. We celebrated in style with a photo session with sibling pictures and a strawberry themed cake smash and splash bath!
Kenna was fully walking and all over the place when she came in this time for her 12 month milestone session. All her older siblings also came with their mom and we got a few great photos of all the kids together and one including mom.
She had a new adorable little habit of of holding her hands over her heart and her mom said it was because she’d learn a song in daycare where that was the hand motion. My goodness it was so cute and I love that we captured it several times in her pictures.
Her mom brought the family soup pot for the final time and at first we weren’t sure if Kenna was going to need to just stand next to it as she’d grown so much. We snagged a few of her sitting next to it and then did a quick pic of her inside it before she let us know she was done being “trapped”.
Then we really had fun with a strawberry themed celebration with my new strawberry background and Kenna had a perfectly matching tutu and shirt. She refused to sit in the tutu so we got some great pictures of her standing up and walking around, which was just as adorable.
We all thought she’d be the kid to put her face in her cake, but Kenna surprised us all by just carefully eating it by small handfuls and licking the frosting. She really enjoyed the cake and picking off the yummy berries and got frustrated that the icing on the floor made it slippery, preventing her from walking around.
We ended with a fabulous splash bath and Kenna enjoyed getting the cake off her hands and finding the toys and berries we put in the water. I think that was when we caught her best smiles and laughter which was perfect timing for this sweet birthday girl!
A huge happy birthday to Kenna, and I wish to say how much fun it’s been to watch her grow this year and be part of all these very special memories.
