Mason's First Birthday Sneak Peek

Mason celebrated his Rookie Year in style with a first birthday photo session and cake smash. And boy, did this kid know how to smash a cake! He was such fun with all his expressions, sneaky smiles, and his absolute destruction of his cake. It was so fun to be part of such a special birthday for him!

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since Mason’s newborn photos, and he’s grown into such a cute little guy. His moms requested a baseball theme for his rookie year, and I had the perfect background for it complete with little baseballs.

Mason had a blast eating snacks out of the red pickup truck and throwing baseballs all around the studio. He has quite an arm, so I can totally see why the theme fit him perfectly! He found out at one point if you threw into the big silver bin it made a banging noise, so he certainly had to explore that option for a while before we trapped him in some chairs and a basket.

Then we switched over to his cake smash, where he wasn’t quite sure what he wanted to do with the cake at first. He tried a little but then realized it was on his hands, so he threw it off to try and clean his fingers. It was so funny how he would get some cake, try it, then throw it off. Cake flew all over! We were all laughing at how quickly that cake was utterly smashed!

Mason gave us the perfect finale, though, by not only scooting around to sit on top of his cake, but then cheer and clap with the biggest smiles!

It was so wonderful to see this family again and I wish Mason the happiest first birthday complete with more cake!
