Sutton's First Birthday Sneak Peek

This little girl came into the studio fully ready to celebrate her first birthday! It took a few minutes for her to warm up but then it was all smiles, pure joy, and overall LOVE for her gorgeous butterfly cake! And she is one of those few awesome babies who dove in face first a few times which always adds an extra layer of fun!

I’ve know Sutton’s family for a few years now as I did big sister’s cake smash and then both the girls had the honor of chomping marshmallows in my cocoa cup during the holidays.

Sutton was such a happy girl. She was perfectly normal on needing a few minutes to get used to me and the studio, but once she realized she could play with the beads and gold butterflies she was all smiles. We even had to catch her a few times as she’d get super brave and try to crawl off!

We captured some adorable portraits first with her pretty pink dress and matching jacket. She showed off some balancing skills with a few standing and played with the ONE letters and pearls.

The fun truly began, though, when we gave Sutton her cake. Oh my did she love it! She took off the little topper with the 1 and had such fun licking frosting off it or adding it back to the cake and taking it off again.

And she totally dove in face first several times! She laughed at pulling off the butterflies and putting them in her mouth, and that amazing little belly was so adorable over the pink tutu.

I had such a blast with this sweet girl’s first birthday pics and cake smash! I wish her the happiest birthday and, of course, more cake!
