Erika's Maternity Sneak Peek
Erika and I were finally able to meet for her maternity session after several reschedules. It would seem we were fabulous at selecting days when the temperature was below zero. So it was so exciting to finally meet her and capture these special baby-bump memories before their little one joins the family in a few short weeks.
We met at one of my favorite spots and there was still plenty of snow on the ground to give that magical snowy feel of a true winter sessions. Yet we weren’t too terribly cold, either, which was such a nice reprieve after -10 degree temps earlier in the week.
Erika had a fabulous black velvet dress that was off the shoulder and had a great train we could fluff out over the snow. She was such a trooper walking around and then standing in the snow to show off her beautiful bump among the Colorado landscape. I also loved the red ribbon in her hair that coordinated with the red doors and was a fun pop of color.
The couple humored me with snow pictures, bridge photos, and then my excitement over the most amazing winter sunset. It was so stunning to be able to see the details in both the sky and in the mountains themselves. Erika looked like a winter goddess in the snow there at the end, and I love how the couple snuggled in together for our final pictures.
I am so excited to get to see them again soon and meet their new baby, but in the meantime it was such a pleasure to preserve these special maternity memories.
