Addis's Maternity Sneak Peek

What a beautiful mama and Colorado location for Addis’s maternity session! It was so wonderful to see this family again as I had the honor of photographing their last maternity session for big-brother Levi and then Levi’s newborn photos.

Addis wanted a different type of session than the one for her first pregnancy, and searched for a nearby “mountain” type feel. We struggled with finding the right fit with mountains, accessability, and then not being too far of a drive.

I think we hit the jackpot on the spot we found, which was a beautiful trail near the foot of the Rockies. It was just perfect for what she envisioned. There was a layer amount of snow specking the area, and the trail was mostly clear with just a few muddy patches.

Addis was a trooper jumping in when we found a great view or rock formation in the background. And the couple did such a great job with Levi who wanted to run and play. He even decided at one point to hop into the photos by sitting on the train to his mom’s gown.

We even had time for a second dress which was a perfect fit with the soft winter sunset. To top it all off a full moon rose over the mountains as we were packing up - the same thing that happened during their first maternity session. What an amazing coincidence! So we all had to get out there one last time for the final moon pictures.

I can’t wait to see this family again soon and meet baby sister!
