Hazel's Baby Milestone Sneak Peek
It was so wonderful to see this family again and meet sweet Hazel! She was such a gem, trying so hard to sit up and balance with that newfound “sitting" skill. She had the most expressive faces which were so fun to photograph, and as a bonus (just kidding) I got to see her family again and how much big sister has grown since I last saw her when we celebrated her first birthday.
Hazel has the same big eyes and expressive face as her big sister, but she was definitely her own person. She isn’t quite stable yet to sit independently so we did a combination of trying out some baskets with pillow supports or some quick moves by her mom to get her seated and move her hand quickly from the photo.
Hazel was a rock star at tummy time, and she had smiles, big surprised faces, and some words to share over how she thought the pictures were coming along. I also loved that she was at that stage where she would reach down and grab her toes when we did photos from above, and she was so pleasant and happy to just play with her feet while I took pictures.
We also were able to get a few sibling photos and we worked around a few different scenes to see what worked best. We did get a great one of both girls together looking at me, but I also love the ones of them just sitting together showing each other blocks or lights.
Our final sets of pictures were of mom and dad with baby Hazel, and she was still such a happy girl to get passed around. We got a few quick smirks but I also just love the ones of her eating her fingers and enjoying being held by her parents.
It was truly such a joy to get to see the entire family again before the holidays and I can’t wait until we meet again next year to celebrate Hazel’s first birthday!
