Katherine's First Birthday Sneak Peek

Katherine was back in the studio this week, this time to celebrate her big first birthday! We had a blast letting her play with various props and that girl sure knew how to eat her cupcake.

I love the simple and yet girly set ups we did for her backgrounds and to coordinate with the outfits mom chose. We started with a cream and brown wood setting and added blue details and lights to go with the blue and white romper. Katherine had so much fun organizing the beads and her favorite chair by far was the white curved stool.

We then changed her into a cute plaid pink dress, and since Katherine had so loved the curved chair we brought that out again. She was so excited and I love how proud she was of herself for doing such a big girl thing.

Then mom had a sweet little cupcake for Katherine to eat and smash. She wants to do one cupcake for this first birthday, two next year, and so on - what a fun idea!

Katherine picked it up right away and put the entire thing in her mouth! She loved the frosting, the cake, and basically everything that was happening. Then at the end, she started crawling over to give me bites, so we played with her crawling skills and I snagged an awesome photo that truly captures her personality and how much she was loving life!

A huge happy first birthday to you, Katherine! I’m so glad I got to be part of these special memories for you and your family.
