Willow's Newborn Sneak Peek

Willow’s newborn session sure comes with a story to tell! She was one of the most alert babies I’ve worked with in a long while - completely happy but also totally awake (and adorable). Her parents were so patient while I did my best to rock Willow to sleep, and in the end little Willow won out and she returned a second sleepy day for us to finish her newborn photos.

I don’t often get to truly snuggle or rock little ones during a newborn session, so even though that first one meant more awake pictures, I must say it’s always a treat to get to hold a baby. Willow did get a few cat naps here and there, allowing some photos on the twig bed and a few while swaddled. But she wanted to be present for her family pictures and look around and take in the big studio light.

Her parents had so wanted those sleepy curly photos and we met again for a second session as I, too, wanted to be able to give them those memories. And this time we had one happy and sleepy baby! She slept like a champ and we were able to not only do the poses on the bean bag fabrics, but also the bucket and end with a chin-in-hands pose.

Overall I’m just so very grateful for this family’s patience with me during two separate occasions and for making the drive to the studio twice. I can’t wait to share these special photos of your little girl. Enjoy this special time with her and keep this as a awesome story to share with her later!
