Anika's First Birthday Baby Sneak Peek

Anika just celebrated her very first birthday and she and her family came into the studio to preserve these special memories. While Anika wasn’t quite sure of the new location and wanted mom and dad near, we truly captured her personality along with some wonderful photos of her with both mom and dad.

I’d learned that Anika just recently started daycare and so she cautious about wanting mom and dad with her during our photo session. We were able to snag a few quick images of her alone, but most of her session mom or dad sat and held her, and honestly those are some pretty special memories. Sometimes a little one just needs their parents, and Anika relaxed much more with mom and dad allowing even a sneak smile or two.

We had an adorable set up for the photos with white lace and some flowers with butterflies. Dad sat with Anika during several of her in the gold dress, then mom held her in front of the big floral hoop. Plus the goal was always a happy baby who wasn’t stressed about pictures, so it worked out perfectly to just have her snuggle with her parents for these photos.

Plus Dad gets serious bonus points as Anika only would eat her smash cake if she could sit in his lap. Her dad helped her try the cake and eat frosting, and then got covered in the icing himself. Now that’s a special memory that’s truly unique to Anika and some awesome photo memories!
