Elyse's Pastel Newborn Sneak Peek
Sweet little Elyse was a last minute addition to my schedule last week, but I’m so glad we found the time to get her into the studio for these special newborn pictures. She was almost 3 weeks old, but was still so tiny at not even 6 lbs! We were able to capture lots of sleepy photos plus a bonus awake one right at the end, along with great family pictures and a very special one with her brother.
Elyse’s parents loved both the moon prop and the new balloon prop, and I’m so glad that Elyse was deeply asleep when she arrived so we could get those pictures with both large items. Her brother also got in the frame for a sibling photo while his baby sister was on the moon, and he gave great smiles for “gummies” aka fruit snacks. As a mom of three boys, I should have guessed food would be the best way to his heart to get a smile.
Right before Dad took big brother home, he pulled out his Aurora PD badge and we got a quick picture with that special memento. I joked that he’d been holding out on me as I would have made that a priority had I known he’d brought it! But I’m so glad we snagged that before they left as I’m sure that’ll be a special memory for her baby book.
We finished with some photos on the beanbag with a pink fabric including some with a flower hat and white lace. Elyse started to get fussy right at the end when she told me she’d had enough pictures, but she gave me a beautiful look right at the camera first.
A big congrats to this family on your new little one and I’m honored to be part of such special newborn memories.
