Anderson Adoption Sneak Peek
The next session is a mix of family and maternity portraits and comes with a very special story. This couple is based in Colorado Springs in the Air Force, and they are adopting a little boy from Leslie, who is the beautiful maternity client in this sneak peek. The whole group was wonderful to work with and you could tell they all genuinely cared for each other and are an amazing team. Plus the couple’s little girl was adorable with those pig tails and she gave me lots of hugs!
We started out at the water location on one of the warmer days we’ve had lately here in Colorado. It actually was fairly pleasant except for that wind! But everyone was a trooper and we got beautiful photos with a mix of the various groups.
Leslie looked beautiful in her green dress and her necklace ended up being a wonderful way to get the toddler to interact with her and the baby. She also had her boyfriend there with their bulldog and I must say that the dog was extremely easy to work with, always looking at the camera when needed. We got several photos of Leslie with Kevin and Travis, the adopting couple, plus some with their daughter.
Then we moved over to catch the moutains at sunset at my favorite place to be that time of day. The sunset didn’t disappoint and while the wind picked up and got chilly, we were able to capture a few more group photos before it was just too cold to continue. We also were able to fulfill the couple’s special request of photos with just their daughter and them alone, which they said they haven’t had done since their wedding. It’s always great to get those for a couple as I know from personal experience one person is usually behind the camera!
I can’t wait to hear about the arrival of this special baby boy for this group. He is already surrounded by so much love and it is an honor to be part of preserving these memories.
