Jadon's Senior Session Sneak Peek

After weeks and weeks without rain, our area finally had several days of afternoon showers and thunderstorms that did wonders to clear the air a bit and allow us to see the mountains again. Plus it made for an exceptional sunset. Jadon was the lucky kid whose senior session happened to be on such a night when we had gorgeous clouds and sunset colors, so we definitely capitalized on the sky for some epic senior pictures.

Jadon was a very typical senior boy who was there to take photos since his mom scheduled the session and he needed photos for the yearbook submission. Yet I always try to make it as painless as possible since being in front of the camera means stepping outside comfort zones all while just having met a new person. I also make a fool of my self and yammer away about various things, so these seniors feel a little more comfortable following me around. Jadon warmed up and shared some ideas for basketball images with his favorite jersey, and we worked to get some very cool sporting images I’m excited to share with him. For me, the goal is to bring out the best in each kid and showcase who they are and what makes them unique. So the basketball photos turned into some of my favorites for this young man.

Yet I couldn’t forget to once again mention the truly AMAZING sky at the end of his session. I always get excited when I’m out photographing families on nights like this, as it’s just to beautiful to miss capturing. His mom even stepped into a few frames with her son, and it sure makes my momma heart happy as I know my three boys will eventually all outgrow me all too soon.

Thanks to this family for braving senior photos with me! I loved getting to know you all and can’t wait to share more of your gallery soon. Plus I wish Jadon a wonderful senior year where he gets to play basketball with his team this Spring!
