Olivia's Newborn Sneak Peek
First of all, WOW did it feel so good to do a studio newborn session again! After two months of being closed, I was so excited to see a little one and take newborn pictures in my studio. I had brand new hospital grade cleaners and had deep cleaned every surface, wore a mask for the duration of the session, and all props and fabrics were washed prior to Miss Olivia arriving. Plus I finally got to use some new fabrics and items that have been sitting around since February.
It was almost a sign that Olivia was born on May 10th, as that’s the birth date of my oldest daughter AND my husband. Olivia was an absolute gem during her session and slept the entire time. She loved my silver bucket prop and let me play around with different headbands and wraps while propped inside. I loved the mauve pinks and greens we interchanged in the colors and she christened my new pink ruffle and sugar spun cream fabrics on the beanbag. Olivia even cooperated for a very special image with her mom’s wedding dress and I was able to perfect it in Photoshop utilizing some new techniques from my Master Class in March.
All in all, it felt good to be part of something so special and meaningful for a family again. We agreed this was the most normal thing we’ve done in a long time, and I thank this family so much for allowing me to be part of this special time.
