Peyton's First Birthday Sneak Peek

In this crazy time where businesses are shutting down and the news is filled with depressing information, there are still bright spots to celebrate. Birthdays, especially first birthdays, are one of them. Flowers and pink and cake make it even better. While this little lady took a while to warm up to the whole idea of her first birthday photo session, she sure was a bright spot for me as sessions for most photographers are disappearing for the foreseeable future.

Miss Peyton really made me work for these photos, but gosh if we didn’t get some adorable images in the end. She would be interested with a change in the scene, then told us how she really felt. She also didn’t care too much for her adorable cake, so I sure hope her family ate it later as it looked delicious! Her older brother was a big help in trying to get smiles, and both parents blew bubbles to keep Peyton happy. But in the end, she just needed some time to warm up to the whole situation and needed to play with my daughter’s pretend tea pot. Once she had some toys and space to just explore, she really opened up and even gave me big smiles for a grand finale!

A very happy first birthday to you, Peyton, and I hope to see you again when we can take pictures with smiles right off the bat.
