Quinn's Fresh 48

Sweet little Quinn was welcomed into the world last week and I was so excited and honored to be invited to take Fresh 48 photos for her family. For those unfamiliar with that term, Fresh 48 sessions happen a day or two after a baby is born at the hospital and aim to capture all those hospital details, which are so fleeting in the grand scheme of things. I do more documentary images, focusing on the hospital bracelets and wraps, tiny new baby features, and of course those intimate moments with the parents.

Quinn was just perfect and was a model sleeper, even letting me unwrap her a bit to get some photos of her toes and ankle hospital bracelets. Her parents had a cute little pink wrap for her as well as an adorable hat with her name embroidered across the top. Then I just loved how mom and baby had matching fabric for a robe and swaddle. The love that already surrounds that tiny baby could be felt during the entire session, and I loved photographing those memories for them. What a treasure to revisit later as sweet Quinn grows!
