Trevor's Newborn Sneak Peek

It was so wonderful to finally meet Trevor after getting to know his family for maternity pictures. I had the joy of photographing him at the hospital at a day old and then having him in the studio for his big newborn session. He was a big guy at over 8 pounds, already getting chubby legs and cheeks, but he was an amazing sleeper for his session and we captured so many adorable pictures of him right in the middle of the holiday season.

Trevor’s parents had opted for blues and greens for his session along with the moon prop. I had a few brand new green hats for boys that I was excited to pull out for him, and he was still just barely small enough to curl up on the moon.

We also tucked him into the little crescent moon shaped basket and I quickly learned if his feet are tucked up into his tummy he’s perfectly content. It’s funny to comment on a newborn being “big” but Trevor was just barely a fit inside my bucket, even with the minimum padding and weights I include inside. But he rocked all those difficult poses and props and we got a great mix of traditional boy colors and a few special snowy and holiday picks.

After photos with his parents it was smooth sailing as Trevor loved being curled up on his tummy. I had a lot of fun trying the new sleepy caps and he even loved being on his side. Truly, as long as those little feet were tucked in he slept away and didn’t mind any little adjustments to warps. It was a great way to spend a morning!

I am so excited for these new parents and their first holiday season with Trevor! I wish them all the best and hope to see everyone again soon as he grows and changes.
