Aden's Newborn Sneak Peek
This sweet boy was a last minute addition to my schedule last week, but I’m so glad we were able to get him into the studio for these special newborn pictures. He was such a chunk and was already 19 days old, but with a little extra patience and a feeding break in between, he was a great little model and we were able to capture lots of memories of him at this stage.
Aden and his family drove all the way in from Erie, Colorado so I knew from the start that Aden would likely need a break in the middle of our session to connect with mom and eat. He was perfect at the beginning, though, which allowed us to do two of the bigger props like the twig bed and a few bucket images.
He also had two additional family members in town just to meet him, and it was so special to get to add them into a few family portraits. Grandma loved being in the studio for a few with her grandson and son, and we even got a special photo of everyone all together.
Aden then took his needed feeding break and had a harder time going back to sleep afterwards. Totally normal for his age when they start to get curious about the lights and new sounds, but after some rocking and swaddling he was back asleep so we could finish with some poses on the beanbag.
He even entered a deep enough sleep at the end to let me get few of him on his back - I love how he was holding his foot at one point! Then we ended with the chin-in-hands pose and we just barely snagged it before he told us he was done and ready for mom again!
It was such fun to get to visit with his family and spend time with Aden. I can’t wait to share this peek with them and hope to see Aden again as he grows over this next year.
