Henry's First Birthday Splash Bath

Little Henry is now a big one year old! He came back to the studio for his special first birthday photo session and enjoyed pictures in his soft snuggly outfits and then a splash bath at the end.

Henry was still fairly serious and curious like he was last time for his 6 month pictures. He was content to sit and look around, but also showed off his new skills of crawling off a few times and standing while holding onto a little stool. Plus he liked the game of peek-a-boo and we were able to capture a few sneaky smiles from him that way.

His mom wanted a simple set up with the focus mainly on Henry. And he had two snuggly outfits for his pictures. I love photographing these types of clothes on babies as some of my favorites pictures of my own kids are of them in these soft things they wore most often.

The family also opted for a splash bath instead of a cake, and Henry had a nice warm tub with the rubber duck friends. He was still quite calm and curious about everything going on, but sorted the ducks and stacked them on the side, and was marginally interested in the letters we arranged near the tub. Then he was just done, and he was ready for snuggles with mom.

It was so great to see Henry again for these special milestone photos! He made my job look easy and I wish him the very happiest first birthday!
