Mile's Newborn Sneak Peek

Miles was one sleepy little due during his big newborn photo debut. Due to some various hospital needs to make sure both mom and baby stayed healthy, we did our session a little later than originally planned, but Miles proved that he could still sleep away for the entire thing to capture these great photos.

Miles truly was relaxed and happy in the warm studio during his pictures. His long legs could still curl up next to his tummy and he didn’t mind being on his back, tummy, or side. He let me switch out several hats on the moon and in the bucket, and just was an all-around happy little guy.

We did use some very special elements for a few of Mile’s photos that are dear to the family. Mom brought in a blanket and a sloth lovey that belonged to Mile’s older sister, so we made sure to capture photos of Miles with those items. I found myself getting emotional as I wrapped a little sloth arm around him, and it was a special moment to edit those and add the final touches.

We kept classic blues and greys for his photos, so I used both a plain blue fabric and a textured one to vary his photos. He curled up on his tummy and then let me flip him to his back to wrap him in fabric for one of my new favorite detail pics to show fingers and toes. He even was a champ during chin-in-hands making my editing job super easy!

A huge congrats to this family on your precious boy! I so enjoyed capturing these memories for you!
