Benjamin's Toddler Sneak Peek

This little guy was lots of fun during his photo session to capture his toddler stage. Benjamin was full of energy as he played with blocks, cars, and ate snacks while exploring the studio. He also loved trying the various chairs and, of course, doing them by himself, and we adults all got in our workout as we herded him to the main area for portraits.

Benjamin was in a great mood when he arrived, and after dressing in his first outfit of pants with overalls, he happily played with my set of wooden blocks. He would stack towers then knock them over, and we got many happy smiles while he played.

He also liked trying the different chairs and climbing in and off on his own. I think his favorite was the curved white chair, which he took very seriously, but he also had the cutest “king of the castle” expression when he tried the small wooden stool.

Benjamin also needed a few snacks as our session went on, just like most older babies and toddlers. But snacks always help keep kids in a happy mood and I like using them to guide kids when I’d like them to sit or stand.

After a few pictures with his parents, Benjamin changed into a second outfit and we pulled out the denim background to match. He was certainly tiring after working so hard on all the pictures beforehand, so we took it easy with a few simple car toys and tried a few buckets for him to sit inside. Yet I love the serious little faces and him concentrating on his play, as those always show those cute lines on kids’ faces that disappear as they get older.

It was so great to meet this family and capture such a fun stage for him and his parents! Enjoy this little peek into life with a busy toddler!
