Theodore's Newborn Sneak Peek

Theodore was one snuggly little guy when he came in for his newborn studio session last week. He was also already getting chunky with perfect rolls on his back and chubby cheeks. I had a lot of fun visiting with his family and capturing these special newborn memories for them.

Theodore’s mom requested greens and tans to coordinate with how they had decorated their nursery and she mentioned the twig bed as a favorite prop. All of those colors go so well with the outdoorsy vibe of the wood bed and then earth tones of some of my other props, like the heart bowl, and it was fun to gather the boy props and hats in those colors for Theodore.

After a quick feeding when he arrived, Theodore was nice and sleepy for his big props at the beginning. I learned quickly that he much preferred being on his side or back versus his tummy, which is perfectly fine with me! It’s always funny how different babies are from such an early age on preferences like that, so we kept Theodore comfortable and did poses that he liked.

I also saw one of his swaddle blankets had woodland animals on it, so of course I had to grab my fox set with the tiny felted fox lovey. Theodore was so adorable in it and he loved being swaddled!

We ended with poses on the beanbag where I could use different wraps and hats to show off his precious features and all that hair. He only let me get a few photos on his tummy, as again he much preferred his back, but he was a champ at letting me capture a few pictures with the swing and I love how they turned out.

A huge congrats to this family on your new baby boy! And enjoy this sneak peek inside Theodore’s newborn session.
