Sweet Quinn was in the studio last week to celebrate her big first birthday in style with a photo session and cake smash. She was such a happy little girl and it was so wonderful to see her and her mom again for such a special occasion after last photographing her when she was only a tiny newborn.

Quinn had an adorable blue dress with white tulle over the top for her first set of portraits. Plus the dress had sparkle polka dots and the blue really coordinated with the pastel background and added blue flowers.

She got to show off her great smile and standing skills for a few seconds, and then happily played with the pearl necklaces. As long as she had those she was a happy camper, and we were able to put her in a basket, which she had also fit inside when she was just a week old.

We then switched over to a classic white background and setting with twinkle lights for Quinn’s cake smash, and she again had a perfect dress, this time in white with confetti sparkles. Quinn took to the cake right away and basically ate fistfulls of icing, which, in my opinion, is the best part anyways.

Quinn truly was such a happy girl as she licked frosting off her hands, wiped sprinkles on the floor, and overall had a grand time eating sugar. We ended when she rememered she could crawl away and after letting her try cake a few more times, let her end in style by crawling off the scene.

It was a great morning spent with Quinn and her mom and I wish her the happiest birthday! Enjoy more cake, or better yet, enjoy more frosting!
