Micah's Newborn Sneak Peek

I was so excited to see Micah and his family this week after photographing their family photos last fall! What a special gift this year to add another little one to the family, and Micah did a wonderful job during his big newborn photo session, where we were able to capture lots of images with his family, older sister, and then by himself.

Micah was a big guy weighing 9 lbs at birth! It seems on par for the week with so many other babies coming to the studio at over 8 pounds, but Micah was truly asleep allowing us to safely pose him and still capture images with several props.

I loved our moon images with him tucked up on the curve, and his older sister joined in for a few of just the two siblings. Then Micah had no issues tucking into a bucket and resting his head on his hands. He seemed to actually prefer it over photos on his back!

We captured several portraits with the family, including mom and dad and then some with the entire family of four. And his older sister informed me she was a very good listener and was able to do the super special sibling pose holding him while laying down on a blanket.

Plus, the family had one of those special swaddles with his name written on it and a matching hat, so I carefully dressed Micah and then curled him into the heart bowl for a special image in his custom outfit.

We ended with several poses on the beanbag and at the very end, I even brought out on I haven’t used in a while. I knew that Micah was waking up and wouldn’t be able to do the chin in hands pose, but while he still was asleep he easily let me tuck his toes up under him for taco pose, and it was a perfect way to end our session.

A huge congrats to this family on this adorable little guy! I so enjoyed seeing everyone again and was honored to one again be part of such special memories for your family.
