Charlotte was a last minute addition to my calendar this week but she was just perfect during her entire newborn photo session! She had the best chubby cheeks and belly rolls, and I loved getting in some baby snuggles during her session as we did various wraps, poses, and props for her special newborn pictures.

This little girl was already over 10 pounds at birth, which means some props need extra support for safety and she needed to be super asleep for some poses. Her parents had requested the moon prop specifically as their baby shower theme was “over the moon”. While some newborns her size are unable to fit comfortably or safely on the moon, Charlotte was a perfect fit and I was thrilled we were able to use that particular prop.

Charlotte also loved being swaddled so I was able to easily swap out wrap colors or fabrics for different images. We captured a few fall themed photos with leaves and my pumpkin and apple bonnets, then also did a few classic images with the pink wrap and flowers. Then we ended our wrapped section with one requested image by mom of her laying down snuggling Charlotte face to face.

When I moved over to the bean bag, Charlotte truly snuggled in and was the perfect model as we changed out headbands or positions. At the very end I even decided we could attempt the chin in hands pose since she was still deeply asleep. And, wouldn’t you know, she did it beautifully and then continued to sleep!

A huge congrats to this family on your newest little blessing. I so enjoyed meeting you and getting in extra baby snuggles from your sweet Charlotte.
