Ryleigh's Newborn Sneak Peek
Sweet Ryleigh had her big newborn debut this week with a studio photo session with her and her parents. She was a great little sleeper, allowing us to capture lots of props and poses, along with special pictures with mom and dad and even a custom swaddle blanket with her name.
We started with the larger props first since Ryleigh was so deeply asleep. Her dad was our spotter while she was on the moon prop and in the bucket so I could safely back up a bit to take the pictures. We swapped out several headbands and adjusted her little fingers, all while she snoozed away.
Her mom had also brought in a special swaddle that had the baby’s name written on it, so I experimented with several ways to photograph it, which was a fun challenge to find a way to focus both on Ryleigh and the written name. I enjoyed it so much I ended up bringing back the blanket for several pictures just to continue to incorporate such a special blanket.
Ryleigh also allowed for great pictures with her mom and dad, then fully relaxed on the bean bag for our final images together. She didn’t care if she was on her tummy, side, or back, and I almost didn’t try the chin in hands pose at the end as she was stirring. But with dad managing the camera and some quick paci work and camera clicks, we totally nailed it!
A huge congrats to this family on your new little blessing, and thanks for allowing me to be part of such special memories.
