The last time I saw Maren and her family it was for her newborn photos a year ago. Now she’s turned into a happy, smiling little girl who loved her cake and is celebrating her very first birthday.

Maren had a beautiful pink tulle dress for her first photos with the balloon hoop background. We added extra flowers and props and she happily sat and played with the pearl necklaces or laughed while we made funny noises.

She even stood for a few quick photos while she was distracted by pearls and puffs!

We changed things into a very girly set up for her cake smash, and I absolutely love the new pink and gold butterfly background! Maren was a perfect little beauty to sit there in her white tutu and pearls while we got everything ready for her cake.

Maren couldn’t decide if cake was her new favorite, but she did give it a good try. She broke it apart and liked the icing, but mainly enjoyed flipping our gold cake stand over and playing with that instead. But she truly kept her smile and curiosity the entire time and we all enjoyed watching her smash her cake in her very own way.

A very happy birthday to you, Maren! I so enjoyed getting to see you and your family again and preserve such special memories.
