Emily had a beautiful summer evening for her senior photo session! I’d initially worried about the windy forecast but the wind lessened and we had beautiful clouds and sunset, plus a wonderful warm evening for pictures at both the water location and my favorite sunset spot.

We started at the water location which is gorgeous this time of year with the greenery around the boulders. Emily had a beautiful white summer dress and I love how she spiced it up with her own personality by adding sneakers to the ensemble. We did notice quite a few bugs while near the water, but the photos were worth it and Emily was a trooper as I had her sit and stand in various places along the rocks.

After a short drive over to our second location, Emily changed into a more casual look with jeans and a top, and I loved how she braided her hair! We walked around and captured great photos among the pine trees and the clubhouse areas with the bridge and flowers on the grounds.

But what really stole the show that night were the stunning clouds! It was a hazy evening from fires in the area and we couldn’t see the mountains. Yet the smoke and the clouds made for amazing vivid colors in the sky and Emily and I walked around snapping photos all over the place as the clouds changed with the sunset.

I’d say it was a truly perfect evening for capturing these memories as she enters her senior year and I can’t wait to share this peek!
