Sweet little Ryah was one adorable little bee for her first birthday photos and cake smash! She had the cutest little dress with yellow flowers, a coordinating bee headband, and she had the best time playing with beads and eating cake against her honey bee background.

I have admired this particular background for a long time and kept myself from buying it until I had a solid reason. Well when Ryah’s mom told me she wanted a bee themed first birthday session for her little girl, I was beyond excited to have the chance to add it to my collection.

And I must say, Ryah was the perfect model for the new background! Her mom had the cutest dress and bee headband for her to wear, which she magically kept on the entire time we took photos. Ryah got to play with some pearl necklace for a bit and enjoyed sorting them back and forth. She also had fun waving them around while sitting in various chairs and playing with my lantern.

We finished with letting her dive into her cake, which was the perfect size for our dainty model. She carefully picked and ate all the fruit off the top first, then selected the icing. She really was so much fun to watch and I had a blast capturing these precious memories for the family.
