Savannah sure was a sweet little two year old for her special birthday photos and cake smash. She missed out on first birthday professional pictures due to all the joys of Covid over the last year, and I was so excited to bring her mom’s vision to life and capture this sweetheart and let her experience a cake smash.

Savannah had two adorable dresses so we captured nice pictures with both before we got into the messy cake. The white one was lovely with the flowers and I pulled out my pearl necklaces are always a hit with little kids. Savannah sorted them back and forth from the little lanterns and even hung a few on the flowers.

We switched over to a cream colored tulle dress and Savannah got to play with the balloons her mom had brought and decorated for the set. She also figured out my lantern trick and how to open it and turn the lights off (clever girl!), so we switched over to the necklaces and, of course, the cake!

She sure knew what to do with cake, which was just a joy to watch. She was a bit dainty on just eating from the very top and only with one finger at a time. But she smiled and laughed and truly had fun just eating all the frosting herself. Then when she was done, she was done but still happy!

A truly happy second birthday to this sweet girl and her family! I’m so glad we were able to preserve these special memories together.
