Quinn's Newborn Sneak Peek

Quinn was a last minute addition to the schedule last week and I’m so glad we were able to get her into the studio for these special photos. Her parents said a friend had said to do newborn pictures as that was a regret they had of their own child. I love that Quinn was able to come just in time as she was just starting to outgrow that newborn curly phase for newborn sessions.

Her parents opted for just photos of Quinn so I pulled out a few additional props and set ups for her during our time together. We were limited on a few prop as Quinn was already 5 weeks old and had outgrown some items. But she could still curl her legs up a tad and it helped that she slept like a champ! Her parents were awesome in following my newborn prep tips so Quinn was able to sleep the entire session.

When we first got started Quinn was wide awake, so I swaddled her up and rocked her in the warm room. I was able to snag a few adorable images of her with her eyes open, though, and then she passed out and let me pull out the larger props.

She was one of those babies who didn’t mind her tummy or her back, and as long as she was wrapped or felt secure she was one happy baby. We captured lots of her on the twig bed with pink and flower accents, in a basket, with her head on her wrists in a bucket, and then we finished with two sets of fabrics on my bean bad.

It truly was a joy to get to be part of preserving these special memories. That newborn time is truly so fleeting and I’m glad Quinn still let me curl her up and pose her for such special photos.
