This sweet girl wasn’t too sure about getting her first birthday photos taken at the studio, and she sure made me work hard for smiles. But she was beyond adorable in her new dress and headband, and I loved the cake with the balloon wall we used for her special cake smash.

Amelia came in with her mom and grandmother to capture first birthday photos. She had a beautiful little blush tulle dress and she did a great job sitting in the spotlight for a few photos with the hanging rose background. Plus she even teased me with a few happy smiles in between her stink eye glares (which by the way were also super adorable!)

We captured nice photos with the ONE wooden letters and I trapped her in a basket before we moved to the red and pink balloon wall background for her cake smash.

I’d heard that Amelia loved desserts already, especially flan, but she wasn’t quite sure about the cake. She seemed to enjoy the icing then realize her hands were dirty and wanted them cleaned. Yet she did enjoy a good portion of her cake and looked precious with her dress and roses.

A very happy first birthday to you, Amelia, and I hope you get some flan to really celebrate at home!
