Gavin was a great little model for his big newborn photos earlier this week. His parents have created a stars and moon type theme in his nursery with constellations, and I had so much fun incorporating those items into his session along with some special personal items they brought.

Gavin was already a growing boy and had a great little belly, so he curled up as best he could on the moon prop but was happy and comfortable. I enjoyed bringing out some long caps with stars and moons on them for Gavin to wear to go along with his special theme.

He also had a very special stuffed bear that we photographed. Gavin sported a bear hat himself or held an even tinier bear in a few photos. But I think my favorite one ended up being one of him completely swaddled with the bear laying next to him as I realized they were the exact same size. That will be fun to compare his growth over the coming year!

I also have been eyeing a brand new stuffed moon and stars prop for a long time, and I loved getting to play around with a new prop for such a special little boy.

We ended with some very special photos with Gavin’s older sister, plus mom and dad. His sister was a wonderful sport to hold him and snuggle with her new baby brother on the blanket, and she even to go hold him in her lap for a few pictures.

What a special newborn session for this new little boy. I can already tell he’s surrounded by tons of help and love and I can’t wait to share his special sneak peek with the family.
