Meet Kellan, a sweet little boy who came by over the weekend for his big newborn photography debut! He was a super sleeper, was the perfect size for my buckets and moon, and his two older siblings were just adorable. I could tell they loved their new baby brother and were excited to be at the studio taking pictures.

Kellan’s mom had called me just the day before asking about newborn pictures for her son soon since he was already 10 days old. I’m so glad we were able to get together the next day for this special session as Kellan was still within the magical “newborn window” for capturing the sleepy, curly baby poses. His older siblings were great listeners and there are so many wonderful family and sibling images for this gallery.

After family pictures, we focused on just baby images for Kellan with lots of light and navy blues. You truly can’t go wrong with such classic newborn boy colors, and I love how all the images and props came together for his little boy theme. Right at the end Kellan woke up and basically said he wasn’t hungry or sleepy anymore, just alert and ready to be done! So I did one last quick wrap up and managed to actually get a gorgeous photo with his eyes open and a slight smile. I can’t promise that magic every time, but it sure is a special treasure for this family!
