Zion came in with his family a few days ago to celebrate his first birthday with a fun “wild one” theme. The family brought lots of foil animal balloons that we incorporated with the jungle background as well as a huge balloon arch we used to frame the cake smash. Plus his older sister join in at the beginning for some great sibling photos and it was very apparent that Zion just adores his big sister.

Zion and his sister also had some cute custom shirts that said “wild one” and “sister of the wild one”. Then we got some nice portraits with the denim background and my big white chair where Zion loved to sit or stand with his sisters. I can tell this little guy is already into everything as he stood up and walked off several times and even stood on my curved white bench! Good thing there were plenty of us around to return him back to the main photo area!

Finally we ended with a super fun cake smash with a homemade chocolate cake decorated like a lion. I have no such skills for this kind of decorating so it’s always so amazing to me when parents can do that for their kids. Zion had no problems getting messy and devouring his cake, including going in face first toward the end as it was just more efficient.

A super happy first birthday to this precious little guy and a big thank you to his family for letting me be part of such fun and special memories.
