Alex came into the studio a few days ago all the way from Castle Rock to pre-celebrate his first birthday which is later in August. His mom wanted to capture some great photos to share later on his birthday and then also to have a fun cake smash session.

Alex was a wonderful little guy to photograph, and he happily played with any props I handed him, and especially like my big wooden letters that spell out ONE. He was very curious about my clicking camera and yet it didn’t seem to bother him that a new person in a mask was moving around taking his pictures. His big blue eyes looked so bright against the two different backgrounds we selected, one being the denium color for his nice portraits and the blue balloon background for his cake smash. I loved the little suspenders he wore during his smash and the balloons his mom brought perfectly matched our backdrop. Alex was also a kid after my own heart as he went straight for the icing and much prefered to lick that off instead of eat the cake. He even ended with a lovely toppling of the cake stand and the perfect look at the camera.

A very happy early birthday to you, Alex! You did a wonderful job during your photo session and I can’t wait to share your images with your family!
