I met this lovely family for a special maternity photo session at some of my favorite locations in the area. Our session was a great mix of family pictures with their daughter before they add a new little one in the coming weeks, and some of just Nastaran in her gorgeous green maternity gown.

We originally had to reschedule due to the snow we had before Thanksgiving, which ended up being a lot more snow than we’d anticipated! But I think we had the best combination of warmer temperatures and wintery scenes at our locations by waiting. There was just the right amount of snow on the ground and around the water to make it a beautiful setting for photos, but things were mushy or slippery with ice (super important!)

Their daughter also did a fabulous job at both locations and even ran and gave me a sweet hug right when she met me. She loved on mom and baby and showed me her special yellow duck. For a toddler driving to two locations, she truly was fantastic and we snagged several photos of just her and mom as well as the whole family. Plus dad jumped in for lots of couples photos, which I always love during maternity sessions.

I truly enjoyed laughing and getting to know this family and can’t wait to hear that their new daughter is here closer to Christmas. It will be great to see everyone again and capture more special memories as they grow to a family of four.
