Kirstin's Senior Session Sneak Peek
Kirstin and I met up over the weekend for her senior photo session, and she was very laid back and quiet for her photos. I think I talked way too much and probably made a fool of myself a little, but I must say her photos are beautiful and I hope they authentically capture her.
Over the years I’ve run into a few other photographers while out on sessions, and on one occasion a mass of parents taking homecoming photos of their kids. This time, Kirstin and her mom hit the jackpot with me, as there was a group at my water spot AND a mass of people to work around at the second location. They were troopers as we patiently waited our turn at certain areas and I can now say I’ve become an expert by force at working though the crowds to capture pictures. I also may be biased, but I think Kirstin’s will be miles above the rest of the high schoolers as anything beats a cell phone shot!
Kirstin had three great outfits that we worked into her senior photos, and I love how they were a mix of nice and causal, which seems to fit her personality. I am growing to love white at the water location, as while I practically don’t wear much white, it’s absolutely stunning against the water and colors of the rocks. We also had a gorgeous sunset after, again, more smoke in the area, so it was nice to see the mountains and a few clouds instead of just haze. I did ask Kirstin to humor me for a photo or two with a golden fall tree, and while we laughed at my silly instructions, I actually think it’s one of my favorites!
A big thank you to this family for braving the crowds and being flexible. I hope you love your photos as I sure did enjoy meeting you both to capture these special memories.
